If you have created a custom connection setup for your studio using your iConnectivity interface, it's a good idea to back it up as a preset on your computer. This is especially important before you upgrade your interface's firmware, because doing a firmware upgrade may reset your interface to its factory default settings!
To save securely follow these steps:
Select File -> Save Preset
Choose a Preset name, and select which items you would like to save. You will usually want to Check All.
To save your preset as a iConfig format file, simply select OK.
However for maximum compatibility and security you may want to Export as MIDI to save your preset as a standard MIDI file.
Navigate to the folder where you want to save the file and select Save.
